11 Inspirational women were chosen by me from the original 100 listed in FORBES article

Forbes applied their methodology to a group of candidates from around the world and selected influential women from six categories or power bases: billionaires, business, lifestyle (including entertainment and fashion), media, nonprofits and politics.

To determine overall rank on the list, the three metrics applied were: dollars, traditional and social media component and power base points.

Dollars were based on revenue from 2010-2011, media components accounted for news hits  and TV/radio appearances, plus social media: Facebook fans, Twitter followers and YouTube views, all as of 2011. Lastly, candidates were scored on their “reach” or the power bases they impact.
