Natural Hair & Exercise
There is no reason for curly girls to struggle with staying fit and staying fab at the same time.
When your exercise and perspire there is no way around having to rinse your scalp but it doesn't have to ruin your hair regimen and styles.

As previously tipped, spraying hair often is awesome for the hair. Water wakes up hair and breaks hydrogen bonds allowing hair to easily be manipulated. Any oils, conditioners or other styling products applied to hair while wet are more able to set in.
Combining a dime size amount of shampoo to 8 oz spray water bottle can be a refreshing step in your hair regimen after working out to keep scalp clean. Rinse with all water spray bottle. Depending on style rinsing hair may ruin the look. There are essential oils like tea tree and astringents like sea breeze that can be used instead of spray water bottles to refresh.

Protective styles like Bantu knots, cornrows, two stand twists and extensions are able to be worn while staying fit and keeping scalp clean with little or no style change.
Straight looks for naturals are the hardest to maintain when exercising. Wrapping or pinning hair while working out and applying discrete amounts of cleansing oils or astringents to scalp can help to preserve straight looks.
Always allowing hair to air or heat dry completely before putting on bonnet or silk scarf is always recommended.
Fun Fitness! Fab Tresses!

5 Ways to Keep Your Hair Moisturized During Spring & Summer
by Adrienne Brown, Me My Hair & The City
Spring is here and summer is quickly approaching. These warm months bring sundresses, sandals, outdoor activities and most of all—dry hair.
Let’s face it; the heat might be great for a cute pair of shorts and a game of volleyball, but it can wreak havoc on your tresses.
How do you keep your hair from looking and feeling like a brillo pad during the hot weather months?
1. Use a Leave-In
After your mane has been cleansed and conditioned, apply a leave-in conditioner to seal in moisture and prepare your hair for styling. Don’t just use any ole leave-in; make sure it is right for your hair.
As a rule of thumb, if your hair is fine or thin, you may want to use a liquid or lightweight leave-in. If you have thick hair, a creamy or heavy leave-in conditioner might work best for you.
2. Start a Deep-Conditioning Regimen
Deep conditioners, when coupled with heat and a plastic cap, help add protein and conditioning agents to the hair, while strengthening and moisturizing the strands. Consistently subjecting your hair to “the good stuff” will help your tresses maintain a proper moisture balance, even when it’s burning up outside.
Deep condition your hair once a week or every other week, depending on your moisture needs.
3. Try Some Steam
Moisture begins from inside the hair strand. Steaming is one of the best ways to get the “good stuff,” proteins, nourishing ingredients and conditioning agents, where they need to be. Steam opens the hair follicles and allows all the yummy goodness of your deep conditioner to penetrate your hair shaft.
If you don’t have an at-home hair steamer, don’t worry. You too can experience steam and all its greatness: Take a small towel and dip it in warm water. Place the towel over your hair and then place a plastic camp over the towel. Sit under a hooded dryer for 30-45 minutes. The heat from the dryer and wetness of the towel will create a similar steaming effect, making your hair ready to soak up the love.
4. Rinse With Cool Water
I know, cool water is uncomfortable and, above all, it’s cold. But, enduring a little can help you keep in a lot of moisture. Rinsing your hair with cool water will close your hair cuticles and lock in the moisture from your cleansing and conditioning products.
5. Seal with Oil
Speaking of locking in moisture, don’t forget to apply a light oil to your strands. Any oil will do: jojoba, coconut or even extra virgin olive oil. Oil acts as a sealant and contains the moisture you have worked so hard to achieve. Don’t go overboard, a little will do the trick.
At the end of the day, achieving and retaining moisture is the key to keeping your hair fly and not dry. Try implementing the tips above before you step out to enjoy your spring and summer.

NOTHING BUT Intense Healing Mask Product Review
Intense Healing Mask
Be honest. You've noticed that your hair is thinner, breaks easily and what's with all the shedding? Packed with pure ingredients and natural healers, Intense Healing Mask penetrates deeply to repair, soothe and smooth damaged, brittle hair.
This mask is one of the first conditioners I have been able to use and follow up with a complete rinse out. After deep conditioning with mask I did not need to co wash or apply generous amounts of leave in conditioner to keep my hair soft. My hair was more manageable to style and not as frizzy.

A Woman's Worth
Every woman should know her worth and remind herself of it on a regular basis. It is easy to loose sight of that worth and place other people and other things before it especially when so many hats are being juggled.
Being a mother, homemaker, wife and career professional all take up a lot of time and energy. The energy that is spent outside of yourself needs to replenished and never should be expected to be replenished solely by others.
Weekly trips to the spa or nail salon are deserved and shouldn't be neglected. Lazy days refuel the body and mind and shouldn't make one feel guilty. These small things that go such a long way are often not made a priority and go long periods of time without being done.
This is why it is always important to place special people around you that remind you to take time for you when you forget. This is why it is important to teach your children the value of you so they appreciate what you do and treasure who you are. This is why it is important to reach your full potential and display your power so when your not feeling it you have concrete achievements to speak to your inner being.
Yes! Every woman should know her self worth and if she doesn't, it is not anybody else's job to know for her.

Women At The Finish Line And Women In The Race
Is there a shortage of successful women embracing and coaching women that desire to have what the have already achieved?
Every successful female entrepreneur or business woman once was younger and less experienced but learned lessons and perfected their craft. It is important to observe and learn from both the positive and negative of a road already traveled.
Success looks, feels and effects all of us differently. What works for one may not work for another. Sharing ideas is not the same as adopting new ones. Although change is sometimes good it is not always necessary. The saying "Don't fix what isn't broken" is so true yet not always followed. The process of accomplishing goals or fulfilling dreams can sometimes be so overwhelming that we tend to erase everything and start all over instead of altering what isn't working and continuing what is. We compare our failures to role models successes and loose individuality. It is important to always remember personal purpose and not loose it while trying to define it to the rest of the world. Variety is good and competition should be healthy.

Investing in future business for ourselves or other women is empowering. It is expected for women to invest in their children and family, their households or even big events like their weddings or anniversary. However it is less expected to use the same energy or resources to invest back in themselves, their business ventures or business ventures of other women. In order for any business to be successful there has to be support not only enthusiastically but of course, monetarily.
Women have come a long way and in order to go any further we have to encourage, embrace and empower one another.
